Tommy's tale 

Uhu... it's not about my tail, it's my tale that I am going to tell you in a minute.

Hi everyone,  this is me, Tommy,  a 5 months old little puppy of Indian origin.

I live with my Maa, Baba, Didi, and Kalu vai in a small village,  in the east part of West Bengal. I know what you are thinking,  yes, you are right.  I don't stay with my biological mom and siblings,  though they live nearby, and I get to see them every day. I live with my Yashoda Ma, Nando baba. They feed me, play with me. They raise me up just like maa Yashoda did to Kanai beta. Though my foster parents are human, they love me a loooot. But, one thing you got wrong. My Kalu vai is not a human.  He is also just four-legged like me. Yesss... you are right.  He is a cat.

When I first came to my house, I was not even a month old.  My Yashoda ma fed me milk, I licked her hand, and within a moment we fell in a bond. As I was very little then, I used to sleep with her initial few days. Shhhhh.   Don't laugh,  I am telling you a secret,  I even peed on their bed. But you know I am a brave boy,  who does not dare anything. Within 2 weeks,  I started to sleep alone on my own bed.

When I was a little one

I wake up very early in the morning just when Nando baba gets up. He then takes me to the toilet. Though I can take care of my shit, they are very possessive about me. They make sure that no one can disrupt my private moments. Then I eat biscuits, puff rice when he drinks his morning tea. After this morning's snacks,  I again go to bed, don't think that I am lazy. I just save my energy. I again get up within an hour and have breakfast. My Yashoda ma must be there during my breakfast.  After this, I play a bit then again go to energy-saving mode. After sometime Kalu vai comes, after strolling with his girlfriend.  Then I play with him. Though I love Kalu vai, I become very annoyed when he continuously calls ma during lunchtime.  After having lunch, I sleep for almost 2 hours. Once I wake up, Nando baba takes me to walk around the house.  Sometimes I also go out with Yashoda ma.

Now you must be wondering,  where is my didi, why am I not talking about her. My didi is a very special person in my life.  She does not stay with us. But now due to CoVid 19, she is at home. So, you can guess how happy I am with her. I greet her every morning when she wakes up. Then she drinks her tea with biscuits and I wait for my share. Once she is done with the tea we play together. She shares every bite of her food with me. She even teaches me to say vowels when I bark. It's really fun. Though I am very happy around her, sometimes I become very sad, when I think that she will go back to her workplace once this emergency period becomes normal. But I also wish that this dark COVID 19 chapter will be closed soon. Yashoda ma says that when didi will be away, I will WhatsApp call her. Uhu, don't think that I am unsmart. I am smarter than you and know what a smartphone is and how to use it. Well, I even used it.

I didn't mention yet about another very special person to you.  He is my Jiju. He also does not stay with us. But I know him, I talk to him every day, when didi calls him. He says hi to me. I dream about the day when I will finally get to meet him.
